Door County Condo Basement Remodel

SCOPE:
A family who owns a vacation condo in Door County, WI had an unfinished basement. They wanted to utilize that space a variety of ways; additional sleep space for kids, additional full bathroom, entertainment space with a bar and game table, entertainment space for rainy days.

DESIGN CONCERNS:
There were two primary concerns for this design in the beginning. The first, reworking any existing plumbing, electrical & H.V.A.C. overhead into the floor joist. The second, clearing as much overhead space as possible to finish the ceiling as high as possible (finish height was 6'11").

SPECIALTY DESIGN ITEMS - Hidden Bookcase Door
Client requested wall-hung Wine Storage at the bar & a floating wine style wine rack was found online. This product is easy to use from determining the style and size of the racks to the installation of the pieces. The specific product used can hold two bottles in each row and the racks come in increments starting at 1'- 5' high and they are 12"w. This is a great product for storing a large amount of bottles on the wall without installing a bulky shelf or furniture piece.
